The VaN is a 1979 Leyland Sherpa conversion. It's chassis was made at the Leyland factory and then delivered to a Coachworks company who created a wooden frame and base and put sheet aluminium around it and installed the panoramic windows. The only original part of the Sherpa is the everything in front of the windscreen, the rest is custom built.
Once the VaN was converted Mr Manfredi drove the VaN 9 miles home. He then drove the VaN 3 miles to the market where he sold ice-cream and then 3 miles back. He did this 3 times a week for 31 years and the VaN has only clocked up 92823 miles.
